Civilian convoys of mass evacuation from
the 17th parallel (demarcation line) moving South ..
Mass evacuations from Central Highland
moving to the South Pacific Ocean bay in
disarray. Due to exhaustion, lack of food & water,
many lives were lost eventually.

The refugees left everything behind,
just ran away from the invading communist North
Vietnamese ...
The war had been taking its toll on every
Vietnamese without discrimination.
A unknown future is waiting for them...
As usual, a USS Navy ship was ready to pick
up every fleeing Vietnamese in sight ..
Among those evacuees who were not lucky to
save themselves from the ruthless waves
and swallowed by the ocean, still some of them
lucky enough to feel their feet were touching
shallow bottom ..
- But again a possible mass massacre is
always haunting every Vietnamese's mind on the run
..
- However a big American ship is in sight
and ready for up-loading and
- a short trip to Subic Bay is in the
making ...
Since the sacred gift of FREEDOM was strong
which was obsessing every Vietnamese's mind, the
evacuees would take advantage of anything
floating such as fragile fishing boats to go in
search for IT ...
No sooner did these desperate Vietnamese spot
a US Navy ship happen to pass by than these
unfortunates started wearing happy smiles
since their ordeals were almost over..
again, still some lucky peoples were picked up
by a friendly helicopter ..
Do you have enough rooms for some of us ??
Our
boat is full
..
we were praying God
to send us a US Navy ship soon to pick us up
before the sea started acting up ..
Yes, it was a US Navy ship all right
!! But could it finish the trip with this load
of so many refugees??
